Cit-in Perpetual Trophies

People’s Choice Award
The Citroën Australia People’s Choice award, is awarded to the annual winner of the People’s Choice Award in the Show and Shine
It sits on a round base with stylised Citroën logos/chevrons from 1921 to present day and is internally illuminated. There is space for individual plaques forming an evolving chevron pattern.
This Trophy, crafted by John Beswick, Life Member of Club Citroën SA and partly funded by a donation from Citroën Australia in 2015, was presented to the Citroën Clubs by CCSA at the 2016 Cit-in in Smithton, Tasmania

The Ray Huth Encouragement Award
Ray Huth was the brother of Peter Huth from Gayndah in Qld, a name synonymous with Citroën. Ray was in the Qld Ambulance Service for most of his working life at Gin Gin near Bundaberg. His wife died in the early 1990s leaving him to raise 3 daughters.
Some years later, Ray was advised that he was terminally ill with Cancer. Despite this diagnosis, he took on the restoration of several Citroën vehicles.
Ray attended his last Cit-in, with his family, at Stanthorpe in 2011. Unfortunately he passed away in December 2011, having rebuilt a prize winning Six Cylinder Traction. This trophy is to encourage us to remember that a job isn’t unfinished, ‘It’s just not quite there yet!’

The Bryson Trophy
In the late 1970s, Members of the Citroën Club of NSW approached Bryson Citroёn, the Citroёn importers, for a perpetual trophy to be presented to the state with the highest aggregate points scored in all events.
In 1979, Bryson Citroёn presented the Cit-in organisers with the original trophy and the first winners were NSW.
This trophy using a 5CV crown wheel & pinion was re-modelled in the late 1990s by Peter Archer.
Bryson Citroёn went out of business in the mid-1980s, when Franzcar Imports Pty Ltd took over the importing.
In Murray Bridge 2023 the Bryson trophy was awarded to state of the outright individual winner of the Motorkhana.

The Maxim Trophy
Not to be outdone by Bryson, Maxim Motors in Brisbane presented the 1980 Cit-in organisers with a trophy for the highest state team score.
The first Maxim trophy was won by the Queensland team in 1980
The latest Maxim trophy was upgraded for the 2015 Cit-in at Nuriootpa by Club Citroën SA to accommodate the growing number of plaques.
